Liz visited Swalwell fire station on Wednesday 16 August. After a meeting with new Chief Fire Officer Chris Lowther and chair of the fire authority Councillor Thomas Wright, Liz had a tour of the station and spoke with the firefighters on shift.
Liz said, “These are challenging times for Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service but the staff are all really focussed on doing the best they can to protect our communities across Blaydon constituency.”
